SCHOOL OF SPORT SCIENCE PRESENTS
Students in Sport Management, Physical Education, and Athletic Training are combining their efforts to organize a Sport Awareness Day highlighted by a Wheelchair Basketball Game named after Will Archibald. Will was an Endicott College alum who inspired so many by his “will” to face adversity. Sport Awareness Day will be a chance for community members to learn more about the challenges disabled and special athletes face in their daily lives and sport endeavors.
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a national nonprofit organization committed to providing all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience, has partnered with Sport Awareness Day for this great cause. PCA supports youth to perform better on and off the field.
In order to support the Will Archibald Scholarship Fund, our students are reaching out to corporate sponsors and individual donors. In addition to the scholarship, students will be raising money for the New Blazers Wheelchair Basketball team (featured in the event) and the Positive Coaching Alliance. Our goal is to raise $10,000. Please take a moment to review the categories listed below, we hope you and/or your company can be involved with the program.
