Jesse and the Rippers take the title
After years of attempts and several heartbreaking losses, Jesse and the Rippers won their first league championship, defeating Is this Legal? 7 to 2 in the Co-ed Softball league finals.
Co-ed Softball fielded the most teams in league history and the talent pool was clearly above the levels of previous years. Jesse and the Rippers took their game to a new level this year and finally achieved the t-shirt which has eluded them for all these years.
Going up against a heavily favored “Is this legal?” team, Jesse and the Rippers saved their best performances for the most important game of their intramural careers. Jesse and the Rippers wasted no time opening up a big lead on “Is this Legal?” and never looked back. With strong contributions from Joe Cooley on the pitching mound and Colton Cassanelli patrolling Centerfield, “Is this legal?” had a very difficult time scoring runs. As the last out was made at 1st base, Jesse and the Rippers stormed the field and celebrated their long awaited triumph.
