BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott club men's rugby team defeated UMass Dartmouth, 38-10, in the second round of the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) playoffs on Friday night at Hempstead Stadium.
"UMass Dartmouth is a strong team and they played 80 minutes of tough rugby, but we were not to be denied," said Endicott club men's rugby coach Dave Kenkel. "We are playing with passion and belief in each other and that's a very strong combination! The Men of the Match for taking their game to another level are our two centers Jae Reilly (Waltham, Mass.) and Garrett Campion (Portsmouth, R.I.). They both showcased their talents and ability to make plays when needed. Thanks again to all the fans that showed up! They have become a 16th player and are a difference maker."
Endicott (7-0) will play in the CCRC championship Saturday, November 3rd, against Salve Regina University. The game will be played at Pine Banks Park in Malden, Massachusetts.
