Gulls Tennis Beats Salve Regina 8-1 to Move to 2-0 in CCC
NEWPORT, R.I. - The Endicott Women's Tennis team won their fourth match in-a-row and their second match of conference play as the Gulls handed Salve Regina a 8-1 defeat on their home court to improve to 5-1 (2-0 CCC) on the 2012 season.

The Blue and Green opened up the match with doubles play and swept the Seahawks behind 8-0 wins at #1 and #2 doubles before sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) and freshman Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) squeaked out a 9-7 victory at the final flight.
The duos of Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.)/Natalie Egbert (Gorham, Maine) and Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.)/Emilie Cloutier (Lewiston, Maine) handled their Salve Regina opponents without dropping a point at the top two positions.
In singles play, Cloutier won her second match of the season at the #1 position to lead the Gulls. Martel, Egbert, Pinciaro, and Potter all won their singles matches in straight sets. Salve Regina grabbed their only point in #5 singles as Kasey Walther trumped Annie Gluskin (Duxbury, Mass.) 6-2, 6-0.
Endicott competes in the Connecticut College Tournament on September 16th before hosting CCC opponent Roger Williams on Wednesday, September 19th at 4:00 pm.
