BEVERLY, Mass. — Jodi Kenyon, a cornerstone of Endicott Athletics, is stepping into an expanded leadership role as Associate Director of Athletics, Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), and scheduling coordinator, among other key supervisory responsibilities, effective as of Wednesday, January 1, 2025. This pivotal appointment underscores her ongoing commitment to advancing the department administratively and strategically.
In taking on this enhanced position, Kenyon has decided to step down as head coach of the women's soccer program, a role she has held with distinction for the past 20 seasons, to ensure that the program and our student-athletes continue to receive focused leadership.
Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Brian A. Wylie expressed his enthusiasm for Kenyon's continued contributions in her new role.
"Few individuals have shaped Endicott Athletics as profoundly as Jodi Kenyon," said Wylie. "Her success on the field as head coach speaks for itself, but her enduring impact goes far beyond wins and championships. Jodi's mentorship, her unwavering dedication to team values over individual accolades, and her relentless pursuit of excellence have transformed the lives of countless student-athletes. I look forward to working with her in this expanded capacity as she continues to enhance the broader Endicott Athletics community."
Kenyon leaves a storied legacy as the winningest coach in the history of Endicott women's soccer, compiling an impressive overall record of 250-102-46 (.686) and a conference mark of 146-27-17 (.813). Her teams claimed six Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships, made seven NCAA Tournament appearances, and reached the Sweet 16 in 2006 — the furthest any Endicott team had advanced in NCAA postseason play at the time.
A seven-time CCC Coach of the Year (2006, 2009, 2013, 2016-18, 2021), Kenyon's coaching achievements and leadership have left an indelible mark on Endicott College.
Reflecting on her coaching career, Kenyon shared, "It has been an immense honor and privilege to guide the Endicott College women's soccer program and contribute to the success of the team. I have many special memories of each team I coached over the past 20 seasons and am proud of all we have accomplished. The decision to step aside from coaching feels right for the continued growth and success of the program, and I am thrilled to focus on enhancing the greater Endicott Athletics community in my new role. I am grateful to President DiSalvo and Director of Athletics Dr. Brian Wylie for their support and confidence in my ability to take on this leadership position."
Kenyon's illustrious career began as a standout student-athlete at Adelphi University, where she earned All-Conference and Academic All-American honors before earning her Bachelor of Science in physical education and later her Master of Science in athletic administration. Her coaching journey included roles at Adelphi, Harvard, and the University of Vermont before joining Endicott in 2005.
Kenyon's leadership and vision will undoubtedly continue to elevate Endicott Athletics, building on her remarkable legacy of success and service.
A search for a new coach for the women's soccer program will begin immediately.
