Hall Continues Her Rookie of the Week Sweep

Beverly, MA--Freshman Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA) continues to show her abilities on the volleyball court and as a result, has earned Rookie of the Week honors this past week for the fifth time in a row.

Hall was chosen Most Valuable Player of the Springfield College Invitational as the Gulls defeated Springfield, Keene State and Plymouth State en route to the tourney title and their 16th consecutive victory. In the Gulls' four matches last week, Hall contributed 11.20 assists, 0.87 aces and 2.73 digs per game.

Coach Tim Byram stated that Hall "stepped up her game to another level this week when it really counted."

EC is currently undefeated in the CCC (8-0) and posts an overall record of 17-4. For the past four weeks, the Gulls have been ranked in New England. In this weeks' poll, the Gulls are 6th, climbing up from last weeks' 10th spot.

Lorinovich Earns Libero of the Week

Beverly, MA--Senior Katie Lorinovich (Hampstead, NH) earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Libero of the Week due to her outstanding performances on the volleyball court.

At the Springfield College Invitational, Lorinovich was selected all-tournament after contributing 5.00 digs a game. She had 30 digs in a five-game win over the host team, Springfield, who at the time was ranked 5th in New England.

"She had a terrific overall weekend," Coach Tim Byram said. "Her 30 dig performance against Springfield was one of the major reasons we were able to win that match."

Moore Earns Player of the Week Honor

Beverly, MA--Sophomore Sara Moore (Guilford, CT) received Player of the Week honors by the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) this past week for her outstanding performances on the volleyball court. This marks the second time Sara had merited Player of the Week Honors.

Moore played an integral role as the Gulls knocked Colby-Sawyer from the unbeaten ranks, ending the Chargers' 13-match win streak. She racked up a school-record 21 kills to go with five blocks in that match. For the week she averaged 3.60 kills per game. Moore also helped lead Endicott to the title at the Springfield College Invitational, including a win over the fifth-ranked team in New England.

Coach Tim Byram commented that Moore "has been playing well all season but in the CSC match she was terrific."
