2010 Co-ed Softball All-Stars Announced
MVP- Jill Ferullo- The epitome of a team leader who helped to will Jesse and the Rippers to their first league title. An all-around athlete with the propensity for making big plays when her team needs her, Ferullo was a game changer both offensively and defensively. When the games meant the most, Jill always stepped up her game and delivered for her team.
Colton Cassanelli- A southpaw with a cannon for an arm. Cassanelli roams the outfield with great ease, tracking down fly balls all over the field. At the plate, Cassanelli finds ways to get on base and is a pest for opposing defenses due to his speed and understanding of how to play the game.
Joey DiOrio- A speed demon who can run down any ball hit in the air. When he is batting, defenses have to respect both his power and his speed because any ball hit over their heads always results in runs for his team. When it comes to athletic ability, few are better in the league than DiOrio.
Gail Lebrun- A terrific talent who has a knack for coming up with the big hit when her team needs it. With the ability to hit the ball in the gaps and her ability to beat the throw on a routine groundball, Lebrun is a terrific talent who’s skills can match up with any player in the league.
Caitlin Perrier- A slick fielding defensive player who can play either the infield or the outfield. When the softball is hit her way, Perrier always seems to make the out no matter how difficult the play is. She is also a solid hitter who can spray the softball all over the diamond.
Joe Cooley- A big bat who is always a threat to hit a homerun on any pitch. Amongst the league leaders in RBI’s and homeruns, Cooley was an offensive force for the league champions Jesse and the Rippers. Cooley was also an effective pitcher who produced numerous strikeouts in key situations during the championship.
