Release courtesy of Shannon O'Brien, CCC Assistant Commissioner
As both WNE and Endicott had identical 7-1 conference records, the Golden Bears' 19-17 victory in the teams' regular-season matchup on April 24 was used to determine the top seed.
Two quarterfinal matches will be played on Saturday, April 27. Third-seeded Gordon College (12-2, 6-2) will host sixth-seeded University of New England (6-9, 4-4) at 1:00 p.m. in Wenham, Mass., while fourth-seeded Curry College (13-4, 5-3) will host fifth-seeded Roger Williams University (6-10, 4-4) at 1:00 p.m. in Milton, Mass.
Winners of the two quarterfinal matches will advance to the semifinal round on Wednesday, May 1. Top-seeded Western New England will host the winner of the Curry vs. Roger Williams quarterfinal, while second-seeded Endicott will host the winner of the Gordon vs. University of New England quarterfinal. Both semifinal matches are scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
In addition to resolving the top seed, CCC tiebreaking procedures were used to determine the tournament's fifth seed, as both Roger Williams and UNE compiled identical 4-4 CCC records. RWU was awarded the number five seed by virtue of an 18-17 victory over the Nor'easters on March 30.
Tournament action culminates with the CCC championship game on Saturday, May 4 at 1:00 p.m. The CCC tournament champion will earn an automatic berth in the upcoming 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.
