BEVERLY, Mass. — Four hundred sixteen Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes and 111 CCC Football student-athletes were honored on Thursday as the leagues announced their Fall Academic All-Conference Teams.
Endicott saw 68 student-athletes from men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball honored, while 25 football student-athletes were also placed on the CCC Football Academic All-Conference Team. During the 2017-18 school year, the CCC took over operations of the New England Football Conference (NEFC) and rebranded it as Commonwealth Coast Football, which remains a separate, single-sport conference under the CCC umbrella.
Meanwhile, Endicott led the way for the third consecutive fall season among its nine other CCC full-member institutions with 68 student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom. In CCC Football, the Gulls ranked second in total student-athletes, behind Western New England who had 29 honorees.
In order to be recognized as a member of either Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have attained sophomore status.
