With that being clearly stated, here’s a brief history of Endicott’s athletic dominance over the last 25-plus years.

    HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE | WHY ENDICOTT?

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Success for an NCAA Division III athletics department can be defined in many ways, but for this exercise, we're going to focus on what that means for Endicott Athletics in one particular category – winning. With that being clearly stated, here's a brief history of Endicott's athletic dominance over the last 25-plus years.

    Let's start with conference championships.

    Overall, the Gulls have won 102 conference titles since athletics were established on campus during the 1993-94 academic year.

    Endicott's first-ever conference title came in 1995 when the softball program won the New England Women's Athletic Conference (NEWAC) championship under first-year head coach Mark Veilleux, who went on to become the all-time winningest coach in athletics history.

    From there, the Gulls saw their second conference championship captured by the baseball program in 1997 under future Endicott Athletics Hall of Famer Larry Hiser. 

    Since then, the conference championship parade has never stopped for the Gulls, in one way or another, as an Endicott program has won at least one conference championship every year since 1996-97.

    When that run is specifically broken down in regards to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships, Endicott commands the throne with a league-best 86 conference titles since joining the league in 1999*.

    The Gulls have won five or more conference championships in nine different sports and three or more in 10 different sports during that span.

    Meanwhile, the next closest program to the Gulls has 75 titles and the third-best school in the CCC has 69 championships attached to its name.

    Both schools have only won five or more conference championships across just five sports, respectively, in comparison to Endicott's nine programs with five or more league titles.

    Aside from the CCC, Endicott also leads all men's volleyball programs in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with six league titles as an affiliate member. 

    * = includes Endicott's pair of Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) championships since the league's oversight is being shifted to the CCC in 2020-21.
