Baseball Completes Comeback Against Brockport, 7-4
AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Endicott baseball team defeated Brockport, 7-4, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Lake Myrtle Park (Field 6).
WP (2-1): Ben Gill (Sanford, Maine) — 2.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
LP (0-2): Ben Yerina (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) — 1.1 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
SV (1): Kyan Bagshaw (Amherst, N.H.) — 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K
Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Endicott's offense generated a four-run frame to come away with the comeback victory.
Jared Steckelman (Ramsey, N.J.) evened up the score with an RBI groundout (4-3), while James Benestad (Portsmouth, R.I.) broke through for the Gulls via a run-plating double to left field.
Trevor Kamuda (Groveland, Mass.) punctuated the frame in the next at-bat with a two-run blast, his second round-tripper of the season (third career).
Benestad and John Fusco (Naples, Fla.) also collected RBI singles in the fourth (1-0) and sixth (3-3) innings, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- First-ever meeting between the programs.
- Bagshaw slammed the door on his fifth career save (inherited tying run at the plate).
- Gill registered his sixth career win.

Endicott (3-4) takes on No. 3 Johns Hopkins tomorrow in Auburndale, Florida at 2 PM. Brockport (2-9) plays two against Eastern Connecticut State tomorrow, with first pitch scheduled for 9:30 AM in Davenport, Florida.
