Endicott Crew wraps up their competitive season with the annual NECRL Fall Championship Race

The day's racing was started by our women's novice crew competing in their lineup of freshman oarswomen Michelle Duffy at stroke, Kendra Czernicki in 3 seat, Rachel Lemeiux in 2, and Sarah McDonaugh in bow and led down the course by coxswain Danielle Boucher. The women put together their stongest piece of the season from start to finish and kept up their steady improvement under the coaching of assistant coach Tim Dufner.  They placed second against a strong field of eight boats.  The women's novice completed the course in 35:40.

Up next was the varsity men's 4+ in the lineup of senior Nathan Simeon at stroke, senior captain Alston Adkins in 3, sophomore Ian Kaeding in 2, sophomore Dan Richards in bow, and coxed by sophomore Mike Fortin.  The men's varsity also put of their strongest race to date in their first victory of the year, and first fall league race victory in the teams history.  They finished just one second ahead of a strong Wentworth crew with a time of 29:28.  The men's crew team is starting to enjoy the positive results from the hard work and focus they have exhibited all season.

The men's novice 4+ opened up the second flight of boats with their line-up of Andrew Salvatore in stroke, Brad Hunt in 3, Joseph Paolini in 2 and Colby Clarizia in bow, and coxed by Victoria Dolan. The Novice Men continued their steady improvement by completing their trip down the course in 37:14, which was good for a finish of fourth place.

This group should continue their improvement ove the winter season and see some solid results come spring.

Up next was the Endicott women's varisty contingent in their usual lineup of junior Andrea Ford at stroke, sophomore Rachel Mueller in 3, junior Jenn Thomas in 2, and sophomore Marina Phillips in bow and led by sophomore Maria Battista in the coxswains seat.  The women's varsity put together a solid piece down the course, but felt they still had some room to improve upon the piece.  They finished the course in 33:44, which was good for third place.

Winding up the competition  was the mixed 4+ consisting of members of both the men's and women's Team.  Endicott's entry was junior Mike Herman in Stroke, sophomore Allison Loomis in 3, sophomore James Dooley in 2, and freshman Allie Lessard in Bow and coxswained by junior Andrea Ford.  The boat fought down the course and completed the course in 40:47.

Endicott crew now heads indoors for their winter training and will continue their focus on continuing to develop their technical skill while adding to the fitness base.
