Crew Wraps Up 2016 Fall Season At Merrimack Chase
METHUEN, Mass. – The Endicott club crew team closed out its 2016 fall season last Sunday at the Merrimack Chase, competing in three races.

In the women's varsity 4, the Gulls saw Brenna Shanahan (Shelton, Conn.), Gabrielle Wiggin (Lebanon, Maine), Kendra Kirby (Redding, Conn.), and Sarah Burola (Albany, N.Y.) post a time of 22:23, with Michaela Raftery (Nashua, N.H.) at coxswain.
Endicott's novice 4 also competed in the women's varsity 4 due to the amount of entries and turned in a time of 24:32. The novice 4 lineup consisted of Genna Landy (Great Falls, Va.), Caitlyn Fitzsimmons (Andover, Mass.), Ashlyn Chidsey (Clinton, Conn.), Molly Stanton (Enola, Pa.), and Tess Bundt (Milford, N.J.) at coxswain.
Meanwhile, the men's varsity 4 competed in the open 4 event and registered a time of 22:37. Endicott's lineup featured Addison Culupa (Jericho, Vt.), Jesse Gottesdiener (Newton, Mass.), Maximilian Schriener (Rhede, Germany), Claire McKinnon (Boston, Mass.), and MaryAnn Samson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) at coxswain. McKinnon competed in the men's varsity 4 due to an injury in the lineup.

"It was a tough day out there with the cold and windy conditions," said Endicott club crew coach John Leekley. "Injuries are never helpful, nor were some equipment issues. This was our last race for the fall, and I'm really optimistic for the future. There's talent on the team, and you can see the future being really bright.
