ORLANDO, Fla. — The Endicott College dance team won its fifth national title in program history this weekend at the 2026 Universal Dance Association (UDA) National Championships.
Endicott compiled a score of 92.5333 points in the Open Game Day discipline, edging out Minnesota State University, Mankato by 0.1 points (92.4333) for the national crown.
The Gulls rallied in the finals to capture their third UDA Open Game Day national title in program history following a second place performance in the semifinals (Endicott, 90.4167 | Mankato, 91.0167).
"Proud doesn't begin to describe it. Throughout the entire weekend, at every hour, this team delivered. Their toughness, resilience, and commitment were on full display," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch M'12. "Led by outstanding captains, they represented Endicott with exceptional pride and talent. We are honored to bring another national title back to The Nest!"
The victory also marked the program's fifth national title overall (Open Game Day = 2026, 2024, 2021 | Open Pom, 2021, 2020) — the most among any club program at Endicott.
Alongside their national championship routine, the Gulls finished third in Open Pom (89.9333) and fourth in Open Jazz (90.45) this weekend.
It's the first time Endicott has produced three top-5 routines at the same UDA National Championship since 2023 (Open Game Day, 4th | Open Jazz & Open Pom, 5th).
