Equestrian Team Begins Spring Season
The Endicott riders began their spring season this past Saturday, as they competed in a show at Dry Water Creek Farm. The competition was hosted by Stonehill College, and all riders were able to compete because there wasn't a limit on participation. The team tied for third place, and many individual ribbons were awarded. The riders performed consistent and enabled Endicott to build points.
Leah Aronow earned an impressive second place in Open Fences. Olivia Koines, moved up from Novice to Intermediate Fences, demonstrating her prowess with a second place finish over fences and a fourth place in her flat class. Novice rider Elyssa Paquin brought home two second place ribbons, and pointed out to Intermediate Fences.
Karissa Bonner won the sole Blue Ribbon of the day for Endicott coming in first in her Novice Fences Class. Novice Flat riders Megan Piermarini, Sarah Ireland, and Caitlyn Pilch all received yellow ribbons for their performances. Amy Anselmi was awarded her first ribbon: a third place finish in Walk-Trot-Canter. Amber Wilkins also placed third in Walk-Trot.
Endicott competes again on March 6th at Little Acorn Farm (Millis, MA), hosted by Wellesley College. On March 27th, Endicott hosts Zone 4 schools at Springtide Farm at Twisdenwood(Georgetown, MA).
