EC Riders Compete in the New England Classic

The format of the New England Classic is a Team Competition, different from IHSA shows. A team consists of one rider at each level. One class was held at each level with 14 - 16 riders in each class. Teams received points based on how their riders finished, with a total of 14 teams competing.

Endicott had one team with 7 members from EC plus one Open Fences rider from Dartmouth. Endicott's second team was a "Mutt" Team (that's what the team called itself), with 4 Endicott Riders and riders from Mt. Holyoke and Wellesley. While the Endicott Team didn't fare well, the Mutt Team did, placing third, mainly because of high Endicott ribbons.

The New England Classic was the final show for seniors Liz Duboc and Sarah Ireland. Both went out in high style, with Liz winning 2nd in Novice Fences and Sarah garnering a 3rd and a 4th. They will be missed by the team next year.

Novice Equitation Over Fences: Liz Duboc 2nd, Sarah Ireland 3rd

Intermediate Equitation on the Flat: Greta Lindquist - 6th

Walk-Trot-Canter Equitation: Bethany Prussman - 2nd

Novice Equitation on the Flat: Sarah Ireland 3rd.
