Endicott wraps up season in third place

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College equestrian team finished its regular season with a fourth place finish on Sunday at a show hosted by Stonehill and Wheaton Colleges at Drywater Farm in Stoughton, Mass. The Gulls finished their season in third place overall in Zone One, Region Four of the IHSA, the best in the history of the team.
Open rider Lauren Horth (Dalton, Mass.) qualified for Regionals in Open Fences, one of only four in the Region, and moved up to fifth place in the Cacchione Cup standings, tied with Endicott rider Katherine Noyes (Morristown, N.J.).
First place ribbons were earned by Tricia Morrison (Georgetown, Mass.) in Novice Fences, Michelle DeCata (Ridgefield, Conn.) in Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter. Julia O'Connell (Red Hook, N.Y.) and Anna McKendry (Allentown, Pa.) also earned first place ribbons in the Beginner Walk-Trot-Canter division. Second places were awarded to Lauren Horth, Katherine Noyes, Alisha Phipps (Cotuit, Mass.) and Kate Selig (Groveland, Mass.).
Regionals will be held on March 29th at Spring tide Farm in Boxford, Mass. Endicott has qualified riders in six classes: Stephanie Carlisle (Franklin, Mass.) and Kim Davis (West Hartford, Conn.) in the Walk-Trot division, Liza Browning in Walk-Trot-Canter, while Alisha Phipps will ride in the Novice Flat and Fences division and Lauren Horth in Open Fences.
