Gulls take over first place in Zone One, Region Four

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott College equestrian team returned to competition on Saturday afternoon at the Wellesley horse show and it was a fantastic success as the Gulls now sit atop of the team standings for Zone 1, Region 4 of the IHSA. This marks the first time in program history that the Gulls have led the Region. At the show, Endicott won Reserve High Point Team.
\#Anne Wilcox\# (Philadelphia, Pa.), riding at the Novice level for the first time, earned the Reserve High Point Rider award. It is also the first time she has jumped in IHSA competition. Every rider for Endicott earned a 4th place ribbon or better, with the majority winning first place blues. Novice rider \#Tricia Morrison\# (Georgetown, Mass.) and Walk-Trot-Canter rider \#Michelle DeCata\# (Ridgefield, Conn.), “pointed out” and have qualified for Regionals on March 28th. The Gulls have now qualified six riders for the Regionals.
Highlights of the show were Open rider \#Lauren Horth\#’s (Dalton, Mass.) near flawless fences ride which earned her a blue ribbon, while \#Tricia Morrison\#, \#Katherine Noyes\# (Morristown, N.J.) and \#Anne Wilcox\# won classes as well. \#Erin Sullivan\# (Tewksbury, Mass.) took home the blue in her first IHSA horse show.
The Blue and Green return to competition on March 14th at a show hosted by UMass-Dartmouth and Wheaton College at Hobby Horse Farm in Rehoboth, R.I.
