Gulls finish third at EC Home Show
November 10, 2009
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College equestrian team finished strongly at the show hosted by the Gulls on Sunday at Springtide Farms in Boxford, Mass. The third place finish was impressive for the Gulls as the Endicott riders had to do much more than just get on a horse and ride. The team now sits in second place in team standings behind Boston University.
On Sunday, Endicott the Gulls not only had to compete but clean and tack up the horses, hold them between rides, act as ring crew, score and run scores and be ringmaster for the day.
Despite the extra work load, \#Lauren Horth\# (Dalton, Mass.), \#Tricia Morrison\# (Georgetown, Mass.) and \#Anne Wilcox\# (Philadelphia, Pa.) captured first place ribbons. \#Frances Pearson\# (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), \#Molly Zemmel\# (Deep River, Conn.), \#Stephanie Carlisle\# (Franklin, Mass.), \#Kim Davis\# (West Hartford, Conn.) and \#Jess Silbereisen\# (Cos Cob, Conn.) earned solid seconds.
Endicott received many compliments on their show, the largest of the year with 210 rides. Endicott parents continued their outstanding support helping with food and ribbons.
The final competition of the fall season will be hosted by Stonehill College at Drywater Farm on November 15th. As this is a points show, the entries are limited to one rider in each division.
