Loescher Earns IHSA Zone 1 Region 4 Captain Of The Year Award

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior rider Macayla Loescher (Hubbardston, Mass.) has been named the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone 1 Region 4 Captain of the Year, as announced at Regionals last Saturday (3/26).

Loescher received the award based on a vote conducted by all 12 coaches from Zone 1 Region 4.

The award is given to a senior captain, and in this instance, was bestowed upon Loescher for her dedication and positive energy showcased at all shows this season, which was uplifting to both Endicott's program and the region as a whole.

The IHSA, which currently has over 400 participating colleges and universities and 10,000 members, is comprised of 39 regions in eight zones across 47 states and Canada.

Zone 1 Region 4 teams include Babson, Bentley, Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis, Bridgewater State, Endicott, Stonehill, Tufts, UMass Lowell, Wellesley, and Wheaton.
