Equestrian Places Fourth At UNH Show

DURHAM, N.H. — The Endicott equestrian team ranked fourth overall out of nine schools with 31 points on Sunday evening at the UNH Show. 

With today's result, the Gulls concluded the regular season in fourth place in their region.

Sophia Channell (Vergennes, Vt.) and Lucia Taylor (Lyme, N.H.) highlighted the program's efforts with regional qualifying performances, pushing Endicott's total to eight rides qualified for Regional Finals.

Channell was second in open flat and open fences, while Taylor placed first in limit flat.

Taylor was one of five riders to earn a win at today's show.

"We rounded out our regular season with five wins and some great riding! Now, we move on to Regional Finals in two weeks, with eight individual qualifiers," said Endicott equestrian head coach Megan Martin. "Our riders are looking stronger every day, and today they showed that they could adapt and adjust to what their horses were doing in the moment. We saw many well planned and thoroughly executed rides, and that's the sort of riding that will take us all the way to Nationals!"
