Nelson Headlines Gulls At Regionals
ROLLINSFORD, N.H. — Endicott sophomore rider Erin Nelson (Lexington, Mass.) earned Reserve Champion (second place) honors to highlight the equestrian program at the IHSA Zone 1 Region 2 Finals on Saturday evening at Whishmaker Stables.
ROLLINSFORD, N.H. — Endicott sophomore rider Erin Nelson (Lexington, Mass.) earned Reserve Champion (second place) honors to highlight the equestrian program at the IHSA Zone 1 Region 2 Finals on Saturday evening at Whishmaker Stables.
Nelson finished second overall in limit fences to earn her spot at the Zone 1 Championships in early April.

"Regionals was a fun event — our riders not only competed, but they also helped organize and set up for the show today," said Endicott equestrian head coach Megan Martin. "They had strong rides in large, competitive classes, and we are thrilled that Erin [Nelson] is moving on to Zone Finals! We look forward to taking the trip down to Mystic Valley in a couple of weeks and making our bid at Nationals, once again!"
OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
Sophia Channell (Vergennes, Vt.) — 3rd open fences/5th open flat
Riley Miller (Acton, Mass.) — 4th limit fences
Lucia Taylor (Lyme, N.H.) — 4th limit flat
Emily Bianco (Barrington, R.I.) and Faith Ploof (Westford, Vt.) both competed well in novice, while Isabelle Wulff (New London, N.H.) produced another strong performance in intermediate fences for the Gulls.
Madison Pohl (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), Taylor, Channel, Bianco, and Shaina Zaslow (Lexington, Mass.) also represented Endicott in the Regional Team Challenge.
Zaslow's "scramble team" made up of two other rides from different schools finished third, while Endicott's squad ranked fourth.

Nelson will compete at the Zone 1 Championships on Sunday, April 6 (Mystic Valley Equestrian Center).
