    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman inside linebacker William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.) has earned New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Rookie of the Week honors for his play in last Saturday’s non-conference matchup versus Framingham State University.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman inside linebacker William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.) has earned New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Rookie of the Week honors for his play in last Saturday's non-conference matchup versus Framingham State University.

    Rivera led the Gulls in tackles in his collegiate debut recording nine total (six solo, three assisted) in Endicott's 42-6 loss to Framingham State University, the five-time defending Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) champion.

    Rivera is the first-ever recipient of the NEFC Defensive Rookie of the Week award as it was installed by the league this year into the weekly reporting process.

    Endicott (0-1) travels to No. 16 Hobart next Saturday for a non-conference matchup at 12 p.m.
