Rivera, Three Other Gulls Recognized By NEFC
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman inside linebacker William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.) has earned New England Football Conference (NEFC) Defensive Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after his efforts in the Gulls 31-27 comeback victory over MIT last Saturday. Fellow teammates Johari Johnson (Rockville, Md.), Jake Pelletier (Trumbull, Conn.) and Matthew Dow (Nottingham, N.H.) also claimed spots on the NEFC Weekly Honor Roll.

Rivera picked up NEFC Defensive Rookie of the Week honors by recording six tackles (two solo, four assisted, one for a loss) in the win over MIT. Rivera has now received NEFC Defensive Rookie of the Week accolades in four out of five chances this season (9/7/15, 9/14/15, 9/19/15, 10/3/15).
Dow led the Gulls defensive unit with a team-high eight tackles (three solo, five assisted, two TFL), and one sack, while Johnson bettered his career day from a week ago with one touchdown, and 88 rushing yards on 21 carries for an average of 4.2 yards per carry. Pelletier rounded out the trio of honor roll recipients with two touchdowns on six receptions for 61 yards.
