Ferreira Earns Co-Rookie Of The Week Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott football freshman running back Bryan Ferreira (Woburn, Mass.) has been named Conference of New England's (CNE) Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The reigning CNE Rookie of the Week posted a monster 259 all-purpose yard performance (184 rush, 75 return) along with three total touchdowns (one return, two rushing).
Ferreira's 259 all-purpose yards are the fourth-most in single-game program history, and mark the program record for most all-purpose yards by a freshman.
Meanwhile, his first career kickoff touchdown came 14 seconds after the Golden Bears cut into their deficit at 24-14 midway through the third quarter.
The freshman running back followed that up with a career-long 84-yard dash at the 2:48 mark of the third to put the game away (38-17).
This is Ferreira's second Rookie of the Week honor this season (10/6).
