Ferreira Named To D3football.com Team Of The week
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman running back Bryan Ferreira (Woburn, Mass.) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
This is Ferreira's first career honor, making him the 12th student-athlete in program history to earn D3football.com Team of the Week honors and just the second freshman to earn the recognition from D3football.com (Jake Trahan, 2021, week 11).
Last Saturday (10/25), the reigning Conference of New England (CNE) Offensive and Rookie of the Week rushed for a single-game record 247 yards and posted a single-game program record-tying four touchdowns in Endicott's 56-3 win over Nichols on Saturday.
His 247 rushing yards and four touchdowns are both single-game records by a freshman, as well, while his 19.0 yards per carry (13 attempts) broke the previous single-game program record of 13.6 (minimum 10 attempts).
The freshman running back also had one reception for 18 yards, giving him 265 all-purpose yards on the day (3rd most all-time in a single game).
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week.
Student-athletes are nominated by their schools' athletic communications departments and chosen by members of the D3football.com staff.
Ferreira was one of 26 student-athletes picked to the D3football.com's weekly honor roll among all 240 NCAA Division III programs across the country.
