Dengler And Perkins Collect CNE Weekly Awards
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott field hockey senior forward Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.) and sophomore defender Riley Perkins (Lakeville, Mass.) have been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
MADDY DENGLER, OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dengler tied a team high during a 3-0 week with 10 points as she scored two goals and had six assists. The senior started the week in Endicott's 8-1 win over Saint Joseph's (Maine) with four assists, becoming the first Gull ever to rack up a four-assist game.
She followed up versus Nichols by scoring a goal in a 9-0 road victory. In the Gulls final game of the week, a 6-0 win against Trinity (Conn.) on Senior Day, the Winchester, Mass. native scored a goal and had two assists. Her second assist gave her 29 career assists, which set the new program record for assists.
This is Dengler's first career CNE Offensive Player of the Week award.
RILEY PERKINS, DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
During Endicott's 3-0 week, Perkins scored four goals and had two assists, tying a team-high with 10 points while allowing just one goal all week.
Perkins started the week in an 8-1 win versus Saint Joseph's (Maine) with a goal and an assist as the sophomore and the defense held the Munks to just five shots.
The Lakeville, Mass. native added another goal and assist in the Gulls 9-0 win over Nichols, as her tally put Endicott up 7-0 in the third quarter. Perkins and the defense limited the Bison to six shots to secure the eighth shutout victory of the season.
Then versus Trinity (Conn.), Perkins scored two penalty stroke goals, her second was her ninth career penalty stroke goal, which is a new program record. Her first goal up the Blue and Green up 2-0 in the second quarter while her second came in the third quarter for a 4-0 lead. The defense held the Bantams to eight shots.
Today's announcement is Perkins' second career CNE Weekly Award (9/15/25).
