Perkins Captures CNE Defensive Player of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott field hockey sophomore defender Riley Perkins (Lakeville, Mass.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
In Endicott's road win over New England College, Perkins scored a goal and, defensively, helped shut out the host Pilgrims.
In the first quarter, the sophomore put the Gulls up 2-0 off a penalty corner setup for her 10th goal of the season.
On the defensive side, Perkins and the rest of the defense recorded their 12th shutout this season and held an opponent shotless for the third time.
Today's announcement is Perkins' third career CNE Weekly Award (9/15/25, 10/14/25).
WHAT'S NEXT
No. 8 Endicott (18-1, 7-0 CNE) is the top seed in the CNE tournament and hosts fourth-seeded Western New England in the CNE semifinals on Wednesday, November 5 at 7 PM.
