Bio
Kristen McCarthy '20 M'21 enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Endicott field hockey volleyball program in 2025-26.
McCarthy joins the staff following a standout career with the Gulls field hockey program from 2018-19. She finished her career with 52 goals and 28 assists in 47 games played.
A former captain for the Gulls, McCarthy was a 2x All-American for Endicott, 2x Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year, 2x All-CCC First Team, and a member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior All-Star Team.
Her all-time ranks include 3rd in Points, 1st in Points per game, 4th in Goals, 2nd in Goals per game, t-7th in Game-winning goals, 1st in Assists, and 1st in Assists per game.
McCarthy has also had a successful coaching career at Danvers High School. At Danvers, she oversaw the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School programs, helping mentor student-athletes and guiding them through the college recruitment process. In 2022, McCarthy was named the Division 2 Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe and led the program to the first Final Four appearance in 30+ years. She helped eight players place on NCAA collegiate teams, and her final overall record was 31-7-5.
McCarthy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies Education from Endicott in 2020 and her Master's in Special Education in 2021.
