Whitelaw's 27 leads Gulls past Pride

Weston, Mass. – Endicott’s \#Graham Whitelaw\#
(Kennebunk, Maine) went off for a season-high 27 points as the
Gulls downed Regis College, 98-85, in The Commonwealth Coast
Conference men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon in
Weston, Mass. The win evens Endicott’s record to .500 at
10-10 overall and 5-4 in the TCCC while Regis slips to 8-13 and 4-5
in league play.
Whitelaw was 9-of-13 (.692) from the field, and 5-of-8 (.625) from
3-point territory in the win. Four Gulls tallied double figures as
\#Aaron Karkow\# (Uncasville, Conn.), \#Lance Greene\# (Dorchester,
Mass.), and \#Mike Rhodes\# (Amston, Conn.) finished with 15, 14,
and 12 points respectively.
Greene had the Gulls only double-double, adding 10 rebounds to his
14-point night.
Rhodes and Greene were both 4-of-10 (.400) from the field. Karkow
was more accurate, making 7-of-11 (.636) from the field.
Regis’ James Cooper (Philadelphia, Pa.) notched 15 points
and 11 rebounds in the Pride’s loss. Teammate Phil Alibrandi
(York, Maine) had a team-high 26 points in 36 minutes.
Alibrandi had his second 20-plus point game of the season on
Saturday. Junior Derrick Neal (Boston, Mass.) and senior Jesse Vega
(Pawtucket, R.I.) had 19 and 18 points, respectively.
Endicott led 43-40 at the half, powered by a 13 first half points
from Whitelaw. The Gulls put the game out of reach in the second
frame, rattling off an 11-2 run in a 3:30 span. Whitelaw and senior
\#Kevin McGuire\# (New City, N.Y.) each connected from behind the
arc during the spurt.
Endicott sets out for its third straight win on Tuesday evening
when the Gulls look to weather the storm on the road against the
Nor’easters of the University of New England. Regis squares
off with Western New England College on the same day.
