BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's basketball forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester, Mass.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
The graduate transfer averaged 13 points and eight rebounds per game in a 2-0 conference week for the Gulls with wins over Curry (12/4, 112-62) and Gordon (12/7, 79-78).
He shot a sizzling 70.6% from the field (12-17) while collecting five assists and four steals over the two game span.
At Curry last Wednesday, Montagnino had 14 points and six rebounds before he contributed a crucial double-double versus Gordon (12 points, 10 rebounds) in a tight conference battle from MacDonald Gymnasium on Saturday.
This is Montagnino's third CNE Rookie of the Week award this season (11/18/24, 11/25/24).
