Kinney Claims CNE Player of the Week Award
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's basketball junior forward Elijah Kinney (Nashville, Tenn.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
In Endicott's 2-0 week (1-0 CNE) last week, Kinney led the squad with averages of 23.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.0 blocks, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal per game.
He shot a lights-out 18-29 (62.1%) from the field, two-for-three from downtown (66.7%), and 9-10 from the charity stripe (90%).
In Tuesday's 77-61 win at Regis, Kinney scored a game-high 25 points (9-16 FG, 1-1 3PT, 6-6 FT), secured 16 rebounds, rejected four shots, dished out two assists, and collected a steal in his 30 minutes from the floor.
Then, he followed up on Saturday at Wentworth with 22 points (9-13 FG, 1-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds (eight defensive, three offensive), a career-best six blocks, and a steal in Endicott's 91-56 road CNE win.
He did all that in just 21 minutes of action.
The junior has logged six straight double-doubles dating back to 11/12, and has recorded a double-double in all but one game this season.
This marks Kinney's second career CNE Player of the Week award (11/24/25).
