Men's Basketball Climbs To No. 15 In D3hoops.com Poll
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team has moved up to a program best No. 15 in the latest D3hoops.com national poll, the organization announced on Monday evening.
The ranking surpassed the previous program best of No. 17, which was set in last week's poll.
Endicott received 261 total points in the week 8 poll, up 62 points from last week's 199.
Atop the national poll, there was a new No. 1 team — Emory. It surpassed reigning national champion Trinity, who up through week 8 had been No. 1 each week in the poll.
Currently, across the national scale, Endicott ranks 12th in scoring margin (15.6), 15th in free throw percentage (77.6), 27th in points per game (85.6), 35th in field goal percentage (48.0%), and 41st in turnover margin (3.8).
Endicott leads the Conference of New England (CNE) in almost every offensive team statistic, including points per game, scoring margin, field goal percentage, total field goals made (518), free throws made (280), free throw percentage, turnover margin, and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.62).
Individually, Elijah Kinney (Nashville, Tenn.) and Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester, Mass.) both rank in the top-50 in the NCAA in points per game. Kinney averages 22.7 points per game, while Montagnino averages 20.9 points.
Kinney also ranks second in the nation in rebounds per game (12.4), third in double-doubles (12), sixth in blocks per game (3.00), 16th in free throw percentage (88.9%), and 26th in field goal percentage (59.5%).

No. 15 Endicott (16-1, 8-0 CNE) welcomes Wentworth to MacDonald Gymnasium on Wednesday for a 5:30 PM CNE matchup.
