Men's Basketball Ranks Program Best 12th Overall In D3hoops.com Final Poll
D3HOOPS.COM FINAL 2025-26 POLL
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team has been ranked a program-best No. 12 in the final D3hoops.com 2025-26 national poll, the organization announced last week.
The Gulls finished the season with 335 total points in the D3hoops.com poll, which is the most of any team in Region II.
Their No. 12 ranking tops the previous program-best No. 19 end of season national ranking, which came back in 2016-17.
This year, the Gulls set program records in wins (28), longest winning streak (22 games), total points scored (2543), and field goals made (903).
They became the first team in Conference of New England (CNE) / Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) history to finish with a perfect in-conference record and secure a conference championship.
Nationally, they ranked second in win percentage (.933), T-11th in turnovers per game (9.6), 12th in scoring margin (13.2), 33rd in three-point percentage (36.4%), and 33rd in free throw percentage (75.7%), showcasing their all-around dominance.
The Gulls also made it to their second Round of 16 in program history, which is the furthest they have ever made it in the NCAA Tournament.
Unfortunately, their NCAA Tournament run came to an end on March 13, when they fell to No. 8 Illinois Wesleyan by an 83-77 score.
Since the end of the season, graduate forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester, Mass.) and junior forward Elijah Kinney (Nashville, Tenn.) have been named as All-Conference, All-Region, and All-America honorees.
Head Coach Kevin Bettencourt was named CNE Coach of the Year, while Montagnino was named CNE Player of the Year.
The duo of Montagnino and Kinney became the first pair of teammates in program history to both be named to a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-America team.
