Wyman paces men's golf at Hampton Inn Spring Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. – Sophomore Jackson Wyman (Falmouth, Maine) paced the men’s golf team with a 165 over the weekend at Allendale Country Club in Endicott’s second tournament of the spring season. Wyman shaved seven strokes off his day one score to shoot a 79 on Sunday and finish in 21st place, ten strokes off the lead. The Gulls moved up one spot on Sunday and finished the tournament in 13th place with a team score of 695.
Classmate Bryan Pierce (Reading, Mass.) finished second for Endicott and tied for 34th overall in his first collegiate event after firing a pair of 84s.
Freshman Jack Carroll (West Hartford, Conn.) shaved 11 strokes off his Saturday score to shoot an 82 on Sunday and finish third on the team. Freshman Kenny Rubino (Southbury, Conn.) finished fourth with a two-day score of 183 while classmate Anthony Gesualdi (Johnson, R.I.) was four strokes back with a 187.
Collectively, the Gulls knocked off 19 strokes from Saturday’s 357 to shoot a 338 on Sunday.
Salem State took the team title with a 637 (+21) while four players tied for the top individual spot with an 11-over 155.
The Gulls return to action on Thursday (April 14) for the WNEC Invitational at Veterans Memorial Country Club in Springfield, Mass.
