Men's golf tie for second place at USM Fall Classic

Day Two
South Portland, Maine - On the second day of the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic at Sable Oaks Country Club, the Endicott men's golf team made a push towards the top of the standings and moved from third place to second place, tying University of New England and finishing just behind the Husson College.
The Gulls had a day two team score of 316, eight strokes better than their score from a day earlier. Their two-day tally for 641.
On this day, \#DJ Bennett\# (Madison, Conn.) was the top individual finisher for the Blue and Green with a score of 75, a seven-stroke improvement from day one. Just behind him was \#Jackson Wyman\# (Falmouth, Maine) who took two strokes off his score from day one with a 77 on day two.
Senior \#Andrew LaRocque\# (Averill Park, N.Y.) and sophomore \#Miles Traiser\# (Jamestown, Md.) also improved on day two with scores of 80 and 84, respectively. \#Nate Kelly\# (Scituate, Mass.) faltered a bit with a score of 93.
Wyman placed fourth overall and Bennett came in just behind him in fifth place. LaRocque tied for 11th place while Kelly and Traiser finished in 24th and tied for 28th place.
The Gulls will return to the links this weekend at the ECAC Championship starting on Saturday, October 2. Endicott won the two-day event last season.

Endicott sophomore \#Jackson Wyman\# (Falmouth, Maine) paced his squad with a score of 79, followed closely by \#Nate Kelly\# (Scituate, Mass.) one stroke behind.
Sophomore \#DJ Bennett\# (Madison, Conn.) and senior \#Andrew LaRocque\# (Averill Park, N.Y.) registered scores of 82 and 84, respectively, and sophomore \#Miles Traiser\# (Jamestown, Md.) finished his round with a score of 90.
Endicott returns for day two action on Monday at Sable Oaks Country club in South Portland, Maine as the Gulls will look to gain some ground on the leaders.
