Teal Named CCC Golfer of the Week For the Third Time in the 2014-15 Season
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a week in which he led the Gulls in the Bentley Spring Classic and the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invitational, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week. This is the third time Teal has received CCC Golfer of the Week honors in the 2014-15 season, winning twice in the fall, on September 22nd and October 13th.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Following a week in which he led the Gulls in the Bentley Spring Classic and the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invitational, Endicott junior Austin Teal (Loudonville, N.Y.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Golfer of the Week. This is the third time Teal has received CCC Golfer of the Week honors in the 2014-15 season, winning twice in the fall, on September 22nd and October 13th.
Teal started his week by finishing as the second lowest scoring NCAA Division III player at the Bentley Spring Classic, an event that featured just two NCAA DIII teams and six NCAA DI and DII teams. Teal fired an 81 on the par 72 Newport National Golf Club, finishing just behind teammate Ben Palazzo who fired and 80.
Teal wrapped up the week with a fourth place finish at the Hampton Inn Collegiate Invite, hosted by Mass. Dartmouth. The junior's two-round total of 154 (77, 77) led the Endicott golf team to a tie for second place in the field of 17 teams.
Endicott travels to Springfield, Mass. for the Western New England Invitational on Thursday before traveling to Cranston, R.I. for the two day Johnson & Wales Invitational at the Cranston Country Club on Saturday and Sunday. The JWU Invitational will be the last competition before the Gulls play host to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships on the 25th and 26th at Beverly Golf and Tennis, in Beverly, Mass.
