Men’s Golf Wins Hamilton Invitational
ROME, N.Y. — Behind three top-10 finishes, the Endicott men’s golf team captured the 2024 Hamilton Invitational team title this weekend at the Rome Country Club (par 72 — 6,816 yards).
ROME, N.Y. — Behind three top-10 finishes, the Endicott men's golf team captured the 2024 Hamilton Invitational team title this weekend at the Rome Country Club (par 72 — 6,816 yards).
Endicott recorded a team score of 594 (+18, 296-298) to rank nine strokes ahead of the host Continentals (603, +27, 299-304).
The Gulls led the 11-team field on both days, shooting +8 to open the invite on Saturday before locking in a +10 effort on Sunday.
Endicott finished three strokes ahead of the field on day one, and doubled the gap on day two (-6).
Individually, Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine) and Myles O'Quinn (Durham, N.H.) highlighted the Gulls as the duo tied for second place at +3 (147; Baker: 72-75 | O'Quinn: 74-73).
Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) also ranked seventh overall among the 60-player field with a +6 performance (150, 75-75).
Will Pierce (Melrose, Mass.) and Hadyn Kornusky (Topsfield, Mass.) rounded out Endicott's lineup in 13th (+9, 153, 75-78) and 17th (+10, 154, 79-75) place, respectively.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- O'Quinn (+4), Burke (+2), and Kornusky (+9) all climbed the leaderboard on day two.
- Baker led the field with a 3.90 average (-2) on par 4s (second overall in total pars w/ 24).
- O'Quinn made a tournament-high-tying eight birdies.
- Pierce was one of five student-athletes to eagle a hole (hole 7, round 1).
- Endicott paced the field in par 3s (3.35 average, +14), par 4s (4.17 average, +17), eagles (tied 1st, 1), birdies (25), and pars (tied 1st, 104).
