HARRISVILLE, R.I. — The No. 15 Endicott men's ice hockey team tied Nichols, 1-1, on Saturday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Levy Rink.
Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.) buried the equalizer with 58 seconds remaining in the contest when he chipped a one-handed shot bar down over the shoulder of Nichols' netminder.
Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and James Hooley (Quincy, Mass.) were credited with assists on the tally.
Hooley initiated the rush when he won possession of the puck behind the net following a pair of corner battles that created the turnover chance.
He later cycled the puck up the right side boards to Self, and the junior winger quickly found Costanzo in perfect stride with a lead pass at center ice, allowing him to split both defenders and pot the game-tying goal.
In the shootout, Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.), Costanzo, and Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) all scored, with the latter securing the extra point in the standings.
Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) compiled a season-high 43 saves for the Gulls (5-3-1, 24-8-3 career).
