EVERETT, Mass. — The No. 13 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Wentworth, 2-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Friday night at Allied Veterans Memorial Rink.
The Gulls jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 9:14 mark of the first period as Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) deflected home a Carson Nickulas (Barnstable, Mass.) shot from the point.
Endicott held the lead into the second period when Michael Casey (Media, Pa.) took a stretch pass from Collin Kleiser (Churchville, Pa.), split two defenders and beat the Leopards goalie for a 2-0 lead.
With the Gulls leading by two goals entering the third period, the defense clamped down the Leopards to keep them off the scoreboard and securing the road victory.
In goal, Peter Sterling (Manassaas, Va.) stopped 12 shots to pick up his second win of the year and first career shutout.

- Endicott is now 24-4-0 all-time versus Wentworth.
