BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 15 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated No. 14 Bowdoin College, 4-2, on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
After two scoreless periods, Noah Gibbs (Saint-Basile, New Brunswick, Canada) broke the deadlock just 5:51 into the third period for his third goal of the season.
The Polar Bears found an equalizer at the 11:05 mark of the third period, but Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.) gave Endicott the lead with a back-post finish.
Payton Miller (Flemington, N.J.), Ben Jenkinson (Nantucket, Mass.), Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.), and Ty Gaulin (Stratham, N.H.) all notched assists on the tallies.
With the Gulls now leading 2-1, both Miller and Self scored empty-netters 50 seconds apart to push the hosts' advantage to 4-1.
In goal, Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) finished with 22 saves as his record is now 4-1 this season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 2-1-0 all-time versus Bowdoin.
- First goal of the season for Costanzo and Miller.
- First regular season ranked win for the Gulls since 11/16/24 (vs No. 10 UNE, 8-1).
