Sterling Named CNE Goalie of the Week
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's ice hockey goalie Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Goalie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
In Endicott's win over No. 14 Bowdoin, Sterling made 22 saves with a .917 save percentage.
The freshman posted his first win against a ranked team, and it was his second consecutive game with 20 or more saves. Sterling made 13 saves across the first two periods to keep the Polar Bears off the scoreboard before the Gulls scored four in the third period to secure the victory.
This is Sterling's second career goalie of the week award (11/17).
