BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 11 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Salem State, 5-2, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.), Michael Casey (Media, Pa.), Anthony Cafarelli (Middleton, Mass.), Carson Nickulas (Barnstable, Mass.), and John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) all scored in the victory.
Nicklaus finished the contest with a career-high three points, via secondary assists on Endicott's first and last goals (1st – 3:31, Self | 2nd – 16:44, Goldowski) and his first collegiate tally at 5:53 of the second (power play).
In goal, Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) made 22 saves – including 12 in the second period – to improve to 8-1-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 14-2-0 all-time against Salem State.
- The Gulls are 2-0-0 versus the Vikings this season, and have outscored the opposition 13-3 in those contests (W, 8-1, 11/2/25, Salem, Mass.).
- Nicklaus posted his first career multi-assist game.
- Self dished out a secondary assist on Casey's goal in the first (15:50), giving him his 14th career multi-point game in 82 career appearances.
