FALL RIVER, Mass. — The No. 7 Endicott men's ice hockey team tied Roger Williams, 1-1, on Friday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Driscoll Arena.
Roger Williams earned the extra point in the standings, as JJ Alger (Brewster, Mass.) buried the Hawks' fifth attempt in the shootout.
Jacob Kettwig (Chicago, Ill.) gave the hosts an early 1-0 lead when he potted his second career goal just 2:20 into the matchup.
Endicott eventually answered in the third (9:14), as Louie Kamienski (Elmhurst, Ill.) beat Hawks' netminder Jacob Jaslow (Tomkins Cove, N.Y.) top shelf for his seventh tally of the season.
Jaslow finished the contest with a career-high 59 saves.
Meanwhile, Gulls' freshman goaltender Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) collected 24 saves in the stalemate (12-2-1).
Endicott outshot Roger Williams, 60-25, and held a 41-27 advantage in faceoffs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's game was the first-ever meeting between the programs.
- Kamienski is tied with Noah Gibbs (Saint-Basile, New Brunswick, Canada) for the team-lead in goals.
