WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The No. 7 Endicott men's ice hockey team lost to Western New England, 4-3, in overtime on Friday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Olympia Ice Center.
Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) bookened goals for the Gulls in the first (19:40, 1-1) and third periods (3-2).
His first tally came off a rebound following a redirect from the slot, while his second marker was one-timed home via a tape-to-tape cross-ice pass by Sebastian Speck (Dyrden, Mich.).
Louie Kamienski (Elmhurst, Ill.) also buried his ninth career goal at 14:29 of the second (2-2) with a wrister through a screen from the left point.
In goal, Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) turned away 20 shots in the setback (13-3-1).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 22-2-1 all-time against Western New England (13-0-0 home, 9-2-1 road).
- The loss snapped a four-game winning streak against the Golden Bears and a 14-game unbeaten streak (13-0-1).
- Kyle Furey (Marblehead, Mass.) logged his second career multi-assist game (two tonight).
- Self notched his fifth career multi-goal game and 30th career goal overall.
- He needs one more tally to rank tied for tenth all-time in program history.
