BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 7 Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Western New England, 7-0, on Saturday evening in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
Louie Kamienski (Elmhurst, Ill.) paced the Gulls with a pair of goals (1st, 10:12, 1-0 | 2nd, PP, 18:29, 5-0), pushing his season total to 11.
Anthony Cafarelli (Middleton, Mass.), Kyle Furey (Marblehead, Mass.), Conner Chalmers (Windham, N.H.), John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.), and Collin Kleiser (Churchville, Pa.) also scored in the victory.
Furey's marker was arguably the most impressive of the game (and season), as he scored a give-and-go with Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.) just 27 seconds into the middle stanza.
After Costanzo took the puck coast-to-coast, the duo exchanged passes on the right wing before Costanzo dropped a no-look pass between his legs to Furey near the post.
The senior defenseman finished off the silky sequence by dragging the puck from post-to-post, scoring backhanded on a wide-open net for his third of the season.
In goal, Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) made 16 saves to improve to 14-3-1 overall (fourth career shutout).
