PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Johnson & Wales, 8-2, on Tuesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) play at Schneider Arena, on the campus of Providence College.
Originially scheduled for November 7, 2025, tonight's contest began with the Gulls down 1-0 with 19:31 remaining in the second period.
The game was suspended more than 95 days ago due to a scoreboard malfunction.
Once play resumed tonight, Endicott wasted little time finding the equalizer with a Brad Zona (Auburn, Mass.) tally at the 6:58 mark of the second period.
The Gulls then scored three more over the course of two minutes and 48 seconds to take a 4-1 lead. Noah Gibbs (Saint-Basile, New Brunswick, Canada), Taybor Aldrich (Williston, Vt.), and Jack Costanzo (Gloucester, Mass.) all recorded tallies during that stretch.
Johnson & Wales added a power-play goal late in the second period to cut the lead in half heading to the final 20 minutes.
In the third period, the Blue and Green outscored the hosts 4-0, as Costanzo and Aldrich both found the back of the net for a second time along with John Goldowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
Matt Schoephoerster (Crosslake, Minn.) made two saves over the first 20:29 of the game, while Peter Sterling (Manassas, Va.) picked up the win over the final 39:31 making 17 saves.
