Men's Lacrosse Maintains USILA National Ranking
PERRY, N.Y. – The Endicott men’s lacrosse program remained ranked 17th according to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Poll after a 1-1 week in which the Gulls suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the now-ranked #15 Springfield Pride, 13-12 in double OT, and defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Roger Williams handily 13-5.

PERRY, N.Y. – The Endicott men's lacrosse program remained ranked 17th according to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III Poll after a 1-1 week in which the Gulls suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of the now-ranked #15 Springfield Pride, 13-12 in double OT, and defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Roger Williams handily 13-5.
After receiving votes in the USILA's preseason poll, Endicott has now held a spot in the top-20 ranking in each of the past five weeks. The Gulls landed as high as 11th in the country in week three following the team's 3-0 start to the 2014 season. Endicott with 73 points in this week's poll are behind #16 Saint Lawrence (4-1) with 93 points and ahead of Amherst (4-1) with 60 points. RIT tops the country with 399 points and 19 of 20 first place votes.
Endicott, with a 5-2 overall record and unblemished 2-0 mark in conference play, also own the #4 rank in the region according to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA).The Gulls are tied with Wesleyan in fourth place with Tufts, Springfield, and Amherst making up the top three in New England.
Endicott looks to improve upon their regional and national ranking with games against New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foe Middlebury tomorrow at 4:00 pm and CCC opponent Nichols on Saturday at 2:30 pm.
