Yannone Claims CCC Specialist Of The Week Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league earlier today.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league earlier today.
Last week, Yannone put together a strong performance at the faceoff X as the Gulls took on No. 3 Tufts and Springfield. Yannone went 23-for-37 (62.2 percent) on his faceoff chances winning 11-of-21 against the Jumbos and 12-of-16 against the Pride. He also scooped up 15 ground balls in the two contests and scored a goal.
NOTES
- This is Yannone's fifth career CCC Specialist of the Week award (3/26/18, 4/1/18, 2/25/19, 3/11/19, 3/18/19).
- It also marks his third award this season.
