Fernandez, DiSalvo, And Cupples Highlight Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Honorees

BEVERLY, Mass. — 12 members of the Endicott men's lacrosse team have received Conference of New England (CNE) postseason honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.

The Gulls claimed three of the seven major awards that the conference doles out and 12 All-CNE selections among the league's first, second, and third teams.

Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) was named Offensive Player of the Year, Nick DiSalvo (Narragansett, R.I.) was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Ethan Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.) was named Co-Short Stick Midfielder of the Year.

Lastly, Matt Cawley (Westwood, Mass.) was named as the Gulls' representative on the CNE Community Service Team for his charitable contributions and outstanding leadership within the Endicott community.

Offensive Player of the Year | All-CNE First Team

In 17 games played this season (all starts), Fernandez has compiled 94 points with 45 goals and 49 assists.

The senior ranks first in the conference in both assists and points, while also ranking third in goals.

Currently, Fernandez is on a streak of 10 consecutive games with six or more points, highlighted by his 11-point outing versus Gordon on 4/23. The 11 points rank tied for 7th all-time for most points in a single game.

This is his first CNE Offensive Player of the Year award and ninth overall in program history (first since 2023).

NICK DiSALVO | SR. | NARRAGANSETT, R.I.
Defensive Player of the Year | All-CNE First Team

DiSalvo played a major role in the Gulls leading the conference in goals against average (GAA) for conference-only games (6.25) along with caused turnovers a game (15.00).

Individually, DiSalvo notched one goal, 46 ground balls, and 32 caused turnovers. He was also responsible for defending most opponents' top goal scorer or best playmaker, routinely holding them to season-lows in all three scoring categories.

This is his first CNE Defensive Player of the Year honor and the program's 10th all-time. This is the third consecutive year an Endicott student-athlete has received Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Co-Short Stick Midfielder of the Year | All-CNE First Team

Cupples registered eight goals, 24 ground balls, and four caused turnovers in 17 games played on the season for the Gulls.

The Gulls led the league in scoring defense at 8.71 goals-allowed per game, which ranks them 32nd in all of NCAA Division III. Cupples is also part of a riding unit that ranks fifth nationally in opponent clearing percentage at .677.

This is his third Short-Stick Midfielder of the Year award and seventh overall in program history. Cupples and Hayden Souza'19 (West Hartford, Conn.) are now the only two student-athletes in program history to win the same major award three times in their careers.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (14-3) advanced to the CNE Championship after defeating Western New England, 27-12, on Wednesday night in the CNE Semifinals. The first-seed Gulls will now host No. 2 seed Wentworth on Saturday, May 4 at 1 PM for the CNE Championship.
